College of Agriculture and Natural Resource

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is one of the foundational college established at Werabe University in 2010 E.C. Initially, it organized itself into four undergraduate programs: Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Natural Resource Management, and Plant Science. Commencing with 504 students and 27 teaching staff, the college aims to become a distinguished higher education institution. It plays a vital role in national development by producing qualified scholars through teaching, research, and community engagement, thus addressing the pressing need for skilled professionals in Ethiopia's agricultural sector.

Currently, we offer ten academic programs: two postgraduate degrees (Agricultural Economics and Watershed Management) and eight undergraduate programs spanning Animal Science, Natural Resource Management, Plant Science, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Rural Development and Agricultural Extension, Soil Resource and Watershed Management and Forestry and Saemaul Sustainable Development. With a dedicated team of 100 staff members, including three technical assistants, we cultivate a nurturing environment for continuous learning and professional development.  Additionally, 19 faculty members are currently pursuing advanced degrees to further enhance our academic quality.
