Department Facilities

·   Library: Access to a specialized collection of legal literature, including Ethiopian statutes, case reports, legal journals, and academic texts to support in-depth legal research.

·   Computer Lab and Research Access: Availability of computer resources and access to online legal databases (e.g., electronic law reports and e-journals) to facilitate advanced legal research.

Student and Community Services

Our services are strategically designed to enhance student competency and fulfill our commitment to community engagement:

·   Legal Aid Service: This vital community service provides free legal advice, counsel, and representation to indigent and vulnerable members of the surrounding community, offering students essential hands-on, clinical legal experience.

·   Moot Court & Academic Advising: We support the competitive Moot Court Society to hone students' advocacy and public speaking skills. Furthermore, we offer continuous academic and career advising to guide students through their studies and professional aspirations.

·  Community Capacity Building: We offer periodic Legal Training and Workshops for local government bodies, justice sector actors (judges, Public Prosecutors police), and community leaders to enhance their understanding of legal principles, human rights, and good governance.

·      Research & Publication: It actively engages in problem-solving research relevant to regional and national legal issues, with opportunities for students to participate and contribute to publications.
