Department of Law is an active department established in School
of law at Werabe University line with Ethiopia's national objective of
significantly expanding and enhancing legal education across the country. In
line with national mandate and the University's mission of quality education,
impactful research, and meaningful community service, Department of Law was
officially established in 2019 (2011 E.C.).
The program began with 33 students
enrolled in the regular LL.B. degree and three academic staff members. At
meantime accommodating over 171 undergraduate
students and employing more than 18
qualified academic staff actively engaged in teaching, research, and
community engagement.
Legal education at Werabe University
department of law is guided by the national accredited conventional law curriculum, which adopts the European Credit
Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). The department of Law thus plays a vital role
in shaping legal future by preparing morally grounded and socially conscious
professionals committed to justice and national development.
