Welcome to the department of silte language literature and communication,

The importance of opening the department is unquestionable given that the language is among the few languages used locally (become local language) as a medium of communication and all forms of interaction (economic, political, social, etc) between people across the zone.

Its teaching at undergraduate level becomes inevitable to produce graduates capable of working at local level to aid the development of the zone in particular and the country in general in every affair.

Providing training in Siltie Language, Literature and communication at undergraduate level in the Werabe University, which aspires to become premier in the zone, respected in Ethiopia and renown in the nation is also an indubitable issue as it aids in achieving its mission.
