Community Engagement Activities
The College of Natural and computational Science at Werabe University is deeply committed to community engagement, integrating scientific knowledge with societal needs to address local challenges. Through various outreach programs, the college extends its expertise beyond academic settings, fostering collaborations with schools, governmental institutions, and local communities. These activities aim to enhance public awareness of science, promote STEM education, and provide innovative solutions to real-world problems. Faculty members actively participate in projects that focus on environmental conservation, innovations, and technology-driven solutions to societal challenges. The College of Natural and computational Science is its commitment to improving science education in high schools. Through teacher training programs, laboratory support, and mentorship initiatives, the college works to strengthen the capacity of science educators and inspire young students to pursue careers in STEM fields. Promote physical activity, teamwork, and social engagement through organized sports and recreation.
Research and Teaching Laboratories
The College of Natural and Computational Science, we are committed to advancing both teaching and research through state of the art laboratory facilities. Our laboratories play a crucial role in delivering hands-on education and conducting cutting-edge research across various scientific disciplines. All departments (Biology, Biotechnology, Geology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Sport Science, and Statistics) are equipped with teaching and research laboratories, enabling students and researchers to engage in practical learning and contribute to high-impact scientific discoveries.
These laboratories support both teaching and advanced research in fields such as:

ü   Synthesis and characterization of inorganic complex molecules for applications like sensor design.

ü  Nanomaterial fabrication and characterization for use in catalysis, and environmental remediation.

ü  Biosensor development for detecting drug residues and other metabolites.

ü  Heavy metal analysis in water food, feed and soil

ü  Testing bioactive compounds in food, and medicinal plants

ü  Fatty acid analysis in various matrices

ü  Profiling aromatic compounds from various matrices

ü  Testing water quality for drinking and other purposes and others
