The leadership of the college discharges its responsibilities as per the underlying transparency and accountability systems with timely, strong check and balance to be a role model.

The dean on behalf of the College of business and Economics has been discharging not only managerial, but also leadership responsibilities mandated by the Senate Legislation of the university and abiding by other relevant laws of the nation. It directs the strategic and operational activities to achieve its missions and vision based on the core values; and bridges the gap between vision and execution to transform the goals into structured systems that can nurture learning and innovation so that upholding the mission by adapting the evolving educational landscapes: creating and implementing policies, planning and performing, managing the budget, and making decisions that have overall impact with a timely evaluation and feedback.

The college is also working hard in an e-learning to deliver the teaching learning service in a modern way via technological advancement. This has been found beneficial to assist the college community in using the learning management system (LMS) effectively. Likewise, it is getting its academic staffs trained Higher Diploma Program (HDP) as a necessary complementary training and induction as well.

Besides, the college conducts academic oversights such as curriculum development and programs revision, and ensuring the quality of education provided. And also, it coordinates wide range of day-to-day activities, admission, teaching learning progress, completion and graduation of students, financial resources, and policy implementation. It made strategic linkage by signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI)-Ethiopia to work together for mutual benefits.

The college applies astute strategic and operational management of resources like time, finance and manpower properly in light of efficiency. It supports students with special needs like financial and learning materials aid, and helps faculty with continuous professional development (CPD), research and community service and administrative tasks as well. Likewise, it ensures maintaining of facility and infrastructure. Furthermore, it checks that its tasks operate in compliance with laws and regulations and manage staff, faculty and students issues.

At last, but not least, the college plays great role for a peaceful teaching learning environment.
