Werabe University is working to fill the gaps in the demand for effective public administrator and development manager in the region as well as Ethiopia. One of the departments which contribute in producing qualified and competent citizen is public administration and development management, College of Business and Economies. The department is commenced in 2014 to produce administrators and development practitioner. The department has produced 97 public administer and contributed for the development of the country.

The department focuses on equipping students with theoretical foundations, practical skills, and critical perspectives necessary for addressing contemporary public service challenges and promoting sustainable development. It is committed to strengthening public sector performance and supporting national development through teaching, research and community engagement.
