As the Head of the department of Horticulture, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the department of Horticulture at Werabe University. I am honored to lead a department that stands at the forefront of academic excellence in horticulture.

Our mission is to advance knowledge through rigorous research, innovative teaching, and community engagement in areas such as crop production, landscape design, and sustainable horticultural practices. We are committed to producing knowledgeable and competent professionals in the field of horticulture. Our staff actively participate in research and community service to generate and share new technologies, thereby increasing the production and productivity of horticultural crops. The program equips students with both theoretical understanding and practical skills that empower them to address real-world challenges and to lead with integrity in their respective fields.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on excellence in teaching, impactful research, and extension services that contribute to Ethiopia's Agricultural Transformation Agenda.
