Werabe University's Horticulture
department consists of a range of facilities that allow for effective teaching,
research, and practical training. The department offers well-equipped
classrooms, laboratories for plant protection, and postharvest technology, as
well as demonstration plots for hands on practice. Experimental farms provide
students with practical exposure to crop growing, nursery management, and
landscape design.
To cultivate and enhance student
learning and research, the department also provides academic counseling,
internship, and community services. Students and staff actively participate in
research and extension work that provides for sustainable horticulture
production and contributes to local community development. With these services
and facilities, the Horticulture department ensures students gain theoretical knowledge
and practical skills they need to succeed professionally in the profession.
