The College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at Werabe University was officially established in 2021 with the vision of becoming a center of excellence in health education, research, and community service. Since its inception, the college has demonstrated a strong commitment to producing quality research, community service, and competent, ethical, and compassionate healthcare professionals who can address the health needs of society at local, national, and global levels. CMHS began its journey with the launch of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, public health, and medical laboratory sciences program and has since grown significantly in both academic offerings and institutional capacity. The college currently comprises seven undergraduate programs, namely medicine, pharmacy, anesthesia, midwifery, nursing, public health, and medical laboratory sciences, with increasing enrollment and qualified academic staff dedicated to delivering quality education.
The College currently
serves over 642 undergraduate students, supported by more than- 150-growing
team of academic and administrative staff. With a learner-centered approach,
CMHS promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, and professional
responsibility among its students.
