About the Department

The Department of Anesthesia is one of the academic units established under the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS) at Werabe University. Our core mission is to produce highly competent, ethical, and compassionate anesthesia professionals who can effectively address the critical need for qualified personnel in the Ethiopian healthcare system. We are committed to delivering quality, evidence-based education, and practical clinical training. Our focus is on equipping graduates with the skills necessary for safe anesthetic administration, patient monitoring, pain management, and critical care support, thereby contributing significantly to improving surgical safety and healthcare outcomes in the region.
