The department have well organized Microbiology, Parasitology, clinical chemistry, Urinalysis Immunology and Serology providing students with hands-on experience using modern instruments and diagnostic technologies.

 In addition, the department benefits from close proximity to the Werabe Comprehensive Specialized Hospital, a sophisticated and advanced medical laboratory service that serves as a prime site for clinical attachment. Students and staff also have access to the Central Ethiopia Regional Public and Research Laboratory, which offers opportunities for advanced research, diagnostic practice, and collaborative projects.
